Human hair extensions: November 2020 Newsletter, by Dr Jerry J Masarira, (Naturaopath D. CBIS)
I cannot help but notice a lot of human hair extension styles and changes that come with choices by individuals to fit their fashion taste.
The styles are beautiful and sometimes breath taking. If it only ends there on the outward look, that would be great.
My concern is what happens on the skin, where one cannot see. Some symptoms and diseases are experienced but not knowing the cause. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes of hair fashion and elegance.
Let me give you a picture of the unknown which you might appreciate.
Your total body weight comprises approximately four percent (4%) minerals. This include macro elements found in high concentrations such as calcium, sodium, sulfur, phosphorus and potassium. There are also micro elements or what are called trace elements present in low concentration such as chromium, vanadium, selenium, lithium and manganese. Their purpose is to provide different health needs for bones, teeth, maintain acid base balance, water balance, nerve conduction, and enzyme functions etc.
There might be a need for the mineral status in your body to be assessed for their adequacy or deficiency in case of health problems. The test that was developed is called, Tissue Mineral Analysis or TMA. The most common tissue used for that purpose on you, is your hair.
Your hair is exposed to your blood, lymph and your cells fluids. On your head, it will be accumulating your internal environment and status of your substance and minerals. As your hair protrudes, it has a proper record of you in it. Even drugs consumed, whether illegal or pharmaceutical, the record will be present.
That is why hair is used when there are crime investigations for a possible cause of death or identity, many years later when graves are dug up during murder cases. It is easily collected and has important trace elements in it needed. Hair does not die. Hair can be used for biological assessment, global, regional and local surveillance monitoring. Your nails can also be used as added evidence when investigating since nails protrude from your body as hairs. But hair has more information and the most reliable. It has your DNA and has all the genetic information about you.
Does having hair extensions on your head, have any bearing to your health?
Anything with its own DNA and is put on your body has chances of causing health problems. Hair does not die and it will interact with your own hair and your head skin. It is because of DNA interactions. If someone dies, after many years the hair can be used to identify the dead person because hair lives long after the person has died many years ago.
There was a case where someone was wrongly accused of murder in 1979 at the age of 17, and by 2012, he had spent 33 years in prison. He was now 50 years old, and was released after hair testing which did not match the hair of the murderer on the dead person. He could have been sentenced to death if he was old enough. He was paid a lot of money as compensation for being wrongfully accused and his lifetime wasted. His hair helped him.
The chances also of absorbing and inheriting health issues from another person you do not know are high. You do not know the types of diseases of the person whose hair you are wearing.
Scratching your itching head is most common due to DNA differences and possible diseases from the other person due to exchange of genetic material between your head and other human hair extensions due to tissue contacts. When you sweat there is an exchange of fluids between the artificial hair and your skin.
The bacteria formed on the skin as well as dandruff and peeling of skin as well as blood coming out, are now a cause for concern.
It is not healthy or wise to use hair extensions because of health problems. Health issues come due to the unknown person’s health problems. This will reflect on his/her hair DNA and interact with your DNA.
There is nothing bad about short hair. Your hair does not have to be long for you to be beautiful. Short hair that is well kept looks marvelously beautiful. The good thing is, it reflects your culture, that makes it more beautiful.
There is no hair culture that is better than yours, it is a mirth. Long hair is beautiful on the culture it belongs, and short hair is beautiful on the culture it belongs. A lot depends on your perspective about your hair. If you change your “glasses” you will love your original hair.
